Local service. Serious craftsmanship.
I’m CJ Ramirez, founder and web developer at OnPoint Web Studio. I help small businesses build a credible online presence without the complexity and distance of a large agency.
The story
Built to be the partner small businesses deserve.
Long before OnPoint, I was the kid pulling things apart to understand how they worked. That curiosity moved from Legos and video games to customizing MySpace pages, where I first began experimenting with HTML and CSS.
I became a barber at 16 and spent the next 15 years building a client base and sharpening a craft. The work taught me precision, creativity, and how to listen closely-skills I still bring to every client conversation today.
My path back to technology began with developing GTA 5 servers and teaching myself backend programming in Lua. I went on to earn an associate degree in web development, expand into frontend design, and found OnPoint Web Studio in 2020.
What began as a one-person venture helping local businesses get online has grown into a studio serving clients across industries. The approach is still personal: understand the goal, build only what serves it, and deliver work that helps a business support its people and community.

Founder interview
An honest conversation about changing careers, learning the craft, and building OnPoint.
VoyageTampa featured my story-from early experiments with code and a 15-year career behind the barber chair to starting over in tech and building a studio centered on reliable, personal service. The interview also explores the persistence behind that transition and why helping business owners grow remains the point of the work.
